Call for 2018 Chapter Nominations!

Nominations for the 2018 term for both Michigan Chapter Chair-Elect and  Secretary are now open!  Both positions offer you a way to become more involved in our Chapter and to meet and work with new people. Please take some time to think about volunteering for either position or nominating someone in our Chapter.

Educational Seminar & Golf Outing

Mark your calendars for the September 21st meeting in Lowell, Michigan (right outside of Grand Rapids) at Deer Run Golf Course.  We will be having a morning Educational session on the Science Behind Beer Making followed by Lunch and Golf Scramble.

 

Jake Brenner, professor in the Craft Brewing Packaging and Service Operations Certificate Program of Grand Rapids Community College's Secchia Institue for Culinary Education Program will be presenting on the “Science Behind Beer Making”.  

 

Durant Scholz, President/Chief Visionary Officer of Active Concepts, LLC  will be presenting the talk "Fermentation: Tradtional Technology Marches Forward." We will be posting more details on both speakers and content soon. 

 

For those who do not want to golf we will be having some organized games/activities during the 2.5 hours of the golf scramble.  

SCC MI Logo Bottle for Sale at Chapter Events

We will be selling S'well bottles at our upcoming chapter events with our new logo. Look for them when you register. They are 17 oz. and can hold hot or cold beverages. We will be selling them for $25. That's like getting a 17 oz. for the price of a 9 oz. bottle! Help support the chapter and get a great deal at the same time.
